Ravintola Mantra in Herttoniemenranta has a dedicated selection of vegan dishes rooted in Nepalese home cooking — lentils, vegetables, and spices, cooked with care since 2011.
In Nepal, vegetable and lentil dishes are not an afterthought — they are the foundation of the cuisine. Dal Bhat, the national dish, is a vegan meal by nature. Our vegan dishes draw on these traditions: slow-cooked dals, spiced vegetable curries, and rice dishes that are deeply flavourful without any animal products. Every vegan dish on our menu is clearly marked with a (VG) tag. We do not use meat stocks in vegan preparations.
All dishes marked (VG) on our menu are fully vegan — free from meat, fish, dairy, and eggs. Our kitchen also prepares meat and dairy dishes, so while we take care to avoid cross-contact, we cannot guarantee a fully vegan kitchen environment. If you have strict requirements, please let us know when you book and we will take additional care. Our staff can advise on any dish you are unsure about.
